Trauma-Informed Therapy for Anxiety, Attachment, and Life Transitions
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain is more common than you might think and you don’t have to face it alone. At Newfound Journey Counseling, I provide trauma-informed therapy rooted in empathy, collaboration, and trust. My practice is built on helping individuals work through anxiety, obsessive thoughts, life transitions, and emotional wounds in a space that honors your identity, experiences, and goals.
As a licensed clinical social worker with advanced training in trauma, anxiety, and attachment, I approach therapy through a person-centered lens. Your values guide the work we do together, and we move at a pace that feels right for you.
Why I Do This Work
My commitment to mental health care was shaped by my time in the military, where I witnessed firsthand how deeply people suffer when mental health services are inaccessible. This experience led me to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Social Work at Boston University, with a strong focus on trauma recovery, anxiety disorders, and relational healing. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds, and I bring that experience into every session.
Clinical Specializations
I specialize in helping individuals manage:
Anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, OCD, and Pure O (P-OCD)
Trauma and PTSD, with a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach
Men’s issues and the evolving challenges faced by men or those identifying as male — including identity, relationships, aging, and career stress
Depth Work utilizing Self Psychology to explore early attachment and seek insight into the unconscious.
What You Can Expect in Therapy
Our work together is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in evidence-based care. We’ll develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your goals and current mental health needs. I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities to ensure your care evolves with you, always prioritizing safety, respect, and empowerment.
